1986 Home The Shows Media About This Site The Lineups A desire to get back to the band’Äôs roots of playing original music led to the addition of guitarist Bobby Schumacher at the end of 1985. Since the departure of Steve Mueske, the band had been focusing on learning covers in order to get club dates. Bobby came to the band with a large catalog of original material, and a drive to write more original music. A collaboration between Bobby, Greg, and Dan led to one of the band’Äôs most popular songs ’ÄúMeltdown’Äù, which defined the sound of the band in 1986.
